Professional Tooth Whitening

Using carbamide peroxide gel in a custom fabricated tray is the traditional tried and tested way to lighten the internal pigments of teeth, thereby improving their appearance without altering any tooth structure.

Whether your teeth have become discoloured naturally over the years, or because of other factors such as smoking, we know many of our patients need cosmetic teeth whitening to restore their confidence in their smiles. We offer two professional teeth whitening systems:

Enlighten whitening (at home)

This treatment option involves loading bespoke trays with the whitening gel and wearing them on your teeth overnight for 5-6 nights. At home teeth whitening involves the use of special trays that are custom-made to fit your mouth. These hold the whitening gel in contact with the surfaces of your teeth to create a brighter, whiter smile.

One of the biggest benefits of at home teeth whitening is that the trays can be stored and used again (if there are no major changes to the shape of your teeth). On the other hand, some patients do find wearing the trays overnight slightly uncomfortable, and this can lead to temporary sensitivity.

The follow up for our at home teeth whitening option is essentially a ‘top up’ – you would only need to purchase more whitening gel rather than new trays.

With the Enlighten system teeth can lift up to 16 shades lighter and you will also be given a clinical grade whitening tooth paste and a high gloss, micro repair and sensitivity liquid enamel. This system also comes with a guarantee of reaching the whitest shade known as B1. Book in today to ask your dentist about this treatment.
