Emma began her journey at Goyt Valley Dental Practice in March 2008 when the practice first opened, becoming one of its very first dental nurses. With a career in dentistry spanning over 24 years, she previously worked in various practices across the High Peak before joining Goyt Valley.

Throughout her time at the practice, Emma has continually advanced her skills and qualifications. She holds certifications in oral health education, fluoride application, impression taking, special care dental nursing, as well as a Level 3 NVQ in Management and Level 3, 4, and 5 NVQs in Practice Management and Leadership.

In addition to her dental qualifications, Emma is trained in aesthetic treatments, holding both foundation and advanced certificates in botulinum toxin and dermal fillers, along with qualifications in mesotherapy and vitamin B12 administration.

After 19 years in clinical dental nursing, Emma developed a strong interest in the administrative and leadership side of dentistry. This led to her promotion to Dental Practice Manager in 2020, where she now oversees the day-to-day operations of the practice. With a comprehensive understanding of both the clinical and business aspects of dentistry, Emma brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to managing the practice efficiently.

Her role involves coordinating the team, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, managing patient care pathways, overseeing financial and operational processes, and fostering a positive environment for both staff and patients. Emma is known for being an approachable and supportive manager who values open communication and teamwork.

Outside of work, Emma lives locally with her husband and children. She enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, attending and supporting her sons in their sporting activities, and teaching Kickboxing within the local community.
